other Guanche family pics |
| 5 May 2007 -- five adorable inquisitive kittens born to Blinky at about midnight on 17 April 2007. They are now almost 3 weeks old and are perhaps the best litter my cattery has produced since I started breeding Sphynx cats in 1997 -- nary a whisker nor a hair or fuzz to be seen | 5 May 2007 -- they are on my bed pillow -- one can note the two black and white ones [tentatively male & female] on the right, with the three mottled grayish blueish ones [probably 2 females and a male] on the lower left. In the coming weeks their body colors will develop further. They are completely ignoring the toy bear | ||
| 5 May 2007 -- Blinky is seen on the left grooming herself as her alert kittys take a look around. I tentatively call the dark colored one with the light color ring around its neck, Ringo. They already respond to my voice | 8 May 2007 -- I made them a comfy nest at the headboard of my bed, with my pillow beside them -- of course, they sleep better than I do! The five wee ones are all snoozing while Blinky keeps a watchful eye on them | ||
| 23 May 2007 -- this is the setup in my bedroom to the left of my bed -- a lower stainless steel litter pan is in front of the large cat one, and a lower stainless steel water dish is to the left of the deeper one for the adults -- food dishes below. The kittens are eating dry and moist food, drinking the water and using the litter pan. Mommy still allows them to nurse | 23 May 2007 -- although the kitten, now 5 weeks old, are kept on the floor, sleeping in their box nest, this pic is on my bed on a contrasting wool throw -- the roll of paper toweling is for scale. Blinky is always nearby, and sometimes decides to sleep with me at night, as does Olga. Ringo, my favorite, has the narrow light streak from her nose to her eyes | ||
| 23 May 2007 -- always attentive, they follow me everywhere. In a week or so they may be big enough to have figured out how to crawl up onto my bed, which means I will probably get somewhat less sleep than I do now | 27 May 2007 -- it didn't take them long to find their way to the top of my bed. As four of them are stretched out, you can appreciate their markings, which will define themselves more as they get older. The 5th one is too far away to be included in this pic -- a couple seconds later they were all up and heading in my direction, as usual | ||
|
9 June 2007 -- PIC 1 16 June 2007 -- PIC 2, PIC 3 -- Zews, the daddy is now seen with his babies -- I allow him to visit every day for a few hours |
19 June 2007 -- PIC 4 -- vet examining one kitten -- PIC 5, PIC 7 -- 3 of 5 kittens with me in waiting room, taken by a gal at the desk -- before this I didn't have any photos of me with the cats -- interestingly enough, Ringo and the one beside him are the same left pair shown below -- they will be 9 weeks old tomorrow |
